About The Christophers

Father John Catoir was director of the Christophers from 1978 - 1995.

The Christophers is a multimedia organization which believes it is better to light one candle than curse the darkness.

Our message is based on the Judeo-Christian concept of service to God and all humanity.

We use the printed word, television and radio to spread the idea that each individual is unique and has the ability to help transform society.

We believe:

•That your community, nation and world need what you have to give.
•That constructive action is the most effective response to the shortcomings of society.
•That each of us is called by God to become personally involved in seeking solutions to the problems that confront us: each of us has a job to do that can be done by no other.

St. Paul, in his letter to the Romans (12:21), said:"Be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."

To motivate people in that direction we publish Christopher News Notes ten time a year.
